Founded by architectural designer, Nora Gharib — Gharib Studio prioritizes creating an emotional connection through physical space.

The primary focus is in the storytelling of brand design from a digital space to a physical one. The creative approach through the architecture & design is collaborating with the unique brand identity and the exploration of how that translates into the 3D world. This approach inspires every aspect of the interior experience, building a community between brands and their customers, beyond just a transactional space. Which includes pushing the envelope beyond just an “instagrammable” space and instead introduce a true third place. A place customers will want to visit multiple times for the brand experience. The mission is to transform the fabric of retail design by creating a space that expresses the brand mission and an environment for brand community.

“ I have a strong interest in human behavior and how the built environment can affect how we feel and interact. This philosophy has fueled my design career for years. During the pandemic lockdown, I began to explore other creative outlets, including content creating — this allowed me to connect with brands and explore design through a different lens. My ability to understand three-dimensional architecture & interior design, while also understanding creating content in a two-dimensional digital platform has allowed me to push and question what retail means today.

How can the community aspect cultivated online translate into a physical environment where visitors can connect the same way? How can retail design incorporate the philosophies of a “third place” to continuously welcome visitors? In an era where we can purchase almost anything online, what does brick & mortar mean?
